How beautiful the end of the day is here on the island of Sardinia. The second largest of the islands in the Mediterranean Sea just a little west of the Italian Peninsula. The heat of the day has subsided to leave an island approaching its hours of slumber.

The rich blues, almost navy in parts, against the craggy mountains swathed in medium green have been brought together using oil on board.

The land blends into the sky as it settles down for hours of night.
