Once again to the eastern Highlands I go. To the Cairngorms, the largest of the UK’s national parks. Its home to 25% of the UK’s rare and endangered species within its 55 Munros and nine National Nature Reserves.

A gentle rainfall accompanied me as I painted this scene whilst huddled under a large umbrella. The rainfall changed the tones of the scene before me. With the sky reflecting the colours of the water with all of their luminosity whilst the heather rich ground created an anchor for the sky to change at will.
