The Cornish coast is always full of surprises. When I paint in Cornwall, I like to find a quiet if not deserted cove and sit there for a while before I put brush to board, taking in natures palette of colours around me. For this piece I added chalky tones to warm up the craggy features of the cliffs as the sea made its way into the shore through a small inlet.
