Exhibiting at Red Rag Gallery

I have exciting news to share with you all. This autumn my art will be exhibited at Red Rag Gallery in the historic spa town of Bath.

Seven of my oil paintings will be available to view and to purchase at the gallery from 21st October 2025.

Day Dreams

While in Scotland on Lock Awe Inveraray this scene was in front of me and that is how I felt as the painting developed around me with the beauty and textures.

The Rocky Cove

The perfect Cornish location with all the must have elements for a rocky cove. Once I’d found this charming setting I set up my easel and started to paint. Oil on board. Brush stroke and palette knife. Replicating the timeless colours of the land and sea as they meet in perfect harmony before my eyes.

Reflections on Purple Cliffs

I am often drawn on my travels to the west coast of Scotland. And it’s here that I paint without restrictions on my time.

What draws me to this part of the world is the light and the reflection of the colours from the sky and the sea on the cliffs.

It’s the dramatic colours of blues, heather purples, and forest greens that compel me to paint.

Sand Dunes

Known for its rugged coastline, Connemara is a natural beauty with incredible contrasts. From its white beaches to the sweeping sand dunes and deep, rich colours enveloping the landscape as it falls away into the Atlantic Ocean.

The earthy tones in this painting have been artfully balanced against the blue of the sea and the sky. This brings joy and delight. Emotions I felt whilst painting this.

Inlet from the sea

The Cornish coast is always full of surprises. When I paint in Cornwall, I like to find a quiet if not deserted cove and sit there for a while before I put brush to board, taking in natures palette of colours around me. For this piece I added chalky tones to warm up the craggy features of the cliffs as the sea made its way into the shore through a small inlet.

Symphony of Light

The sunny skies of Sardinia translate into deep and rich textures.

It’s this exquisite palette of colours that’s slightly mysterious with a touch of pearlescence that brings texture and light to this mesmerising scene. The sunshine shimmering on the sea as it laps against the sandy shores. The hero colour here is the azure blue of the sea as it washes over the creamy sand beach shore. You can feel the sand between your toes and the sea lapping at your feet.

Sea engulfing the rocks

As the sun was heavy against my back, the wind whipped up the sea spray as the incoming tides hit the rocks. Throwing the water into the air with a gentle but forceful push. A mini volcanic eruption of sea spray cooling the air.

The ebb and flow of the tides here in Sardinia have a magical quality as they mingle with the shorelines and rocks along the coastline.
