About 12km west of Dingle Town in County Kerry you’ll stumble across Clogher Beach (or Clogher Strand as it’s known).

It’s a wild and rugged sandy cove and it’s the most wonderful place to paint.

Known for its dramatic surf, you can also see Inis Tuaisceart, the most northern of the Blasket Islands. Tuaisceart is often called ‘The Dead Man’ (‘An Fear Marbh’) or the ‘Sleeping Giant’ because of its very distinctive profile.

I can quite see why a giant would want to sleep here. It’s quite beautiful.
