The cobbled streets of Clovelly rise from the sea, through the village as it clings to the rocks, to the top of the hill. And it’s when you turn and look behind you as you are well into your ascent from the harbour that you are treated to the most dramatic of scenes before you.

The skies are almost just an outstretched arm reach away. The clouds dancing as though dancers in a stage show. The sea their stage. And the buildings of the pretty village of Clovelly either side the stage curtains. Ready to take a bow.
