The sunsets in Western Scotland are spectacular. You can often see the Northern Lights when night has fallen. And yet I am always taken aback by the drama in the skies at sunset.

It’s not always soft pinks and oranges as you expect to see further south.

The sunsets here can be dramatic and dark. Regal golds and rich blues lift your eyes to the heavens as the day draws to its conclusion.
